01What these technologies are
Cookies are small data items stored by browsers that may accompany requests. Local storage also resides in the browser, but is not automatically sent with requests; pages can read it. Caches reduce repeated downloads of images, fonts, and other resources.
This notice covers these related technologies. Clearing cookies alone may not clear local storage or cached files.
02Current website use
Public information pages require no account. The frontend does not actively write login or advertising-tracking cookies. Individual, enterprise, enquiry, and public download pages use anonymous analytics with first-party local storage, not advertising cookies.
When you send a Xiaoya message, the server sets a secure first-party cookie (__Host-proteinx_assistant) for up to 24 hours to bind an anonymous session and help prevent abuse. It is not used for advertising, contains no chat text or model key, and cannot be read by page scripts. Blocking it may prevent chat from working, but does not affect browsing or downloads.
Browsers, devices, and the domains proteinx.bio and www.proteinx.bio maintain separate site data. Anonymous analytics therefore cannot accurately represent distinct people.
The page URL determines the language. Use the Chinese or English controls to switch. Language selection does not require local storage and is not sent to the analytics service.
03Information sent for analytics
Analytics send random browser, visit and event IDs; page and device categories; time; entry position; service or enquiry topic; and a source category: direct, internal, a recognized organic search engine, or another external source. Download events include offered or clicked packages. Form events record starts, validation and outcomes, not entered content. Reading events record 30 seconds of foreground time and 50% or 90% scroll milestones.
To associate downloads or enquiries within a visit, session storage proteinx.visit-source.v1 temporarily holds only a source category and expiry time. It expires after 30 minutes without analytics activity. Full referrer URLs, query parameters and search terms are not stored. Known advertising parameters are checked locally only to exclude paid traffic from organic attribution.
The visit identifier exists in page memory. Events exclude enquiry text, EvoEngine accounts, conversations, research files, and full referrer URLs. The server stores browser identifiers as salted digests, with a 400-day analytics retention window.
Page visits and link clicks cannot confirm completed downloads, successful installation, or login. Network infrastructure still receives the requests needed to serve pages.
04Managing or disabling analytics
- Use browser privacy signals:If your browser supports and enables Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the website analytics script skips collection. Refresh or reopen the page after changing settings.
- Clear site data:Find the website domain in your browser's privacy or site settings and clear cookies, site data, or local storage to remove the saved identifier. Repeat for both official domains if needed.
- Understand the effect of clearing data:A later visit may generate a new identifier. When persistent storage is blocked, analytics may still use a temporary identifier valid only for the current page. Clearing or blocking storage does not itself disable analytics.
Disabling analytics does not prevent browsing, downloading, or submitting enquiries. Clearing browser data does not delete records already received by the server. For requests about submitted information, contact proteinx@163.com.
05Third-party resources and product platforms
The website loads icon styles and fonts from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. The resource service receives network information needed to load files, which the browser may cache. This is not the same as placing advertising-tracking cookies on this website.
After opening EvoEngine, Feishu, or another website, that service manages its login state, cookies, and local storage. The retention periods described here do not apply to those services.
